With both the Board of Education and Village Board providing unanimous approval, the agreement to hire a SRO for the Mahomet-Seymour Schools is approved. Thank you to the Village for working collaboratively with us to make this happen!

Our boys Track and Field Team will be welcomed back to Mahomet this evening at approximately 7 p.m. with an escort to Mahomet-Seymour HS by the Cornbelt Fire Department. Escort will start at Middletown Prairie Elementary stoplight--Churchill and Route 150.

Congratulations to the Mahomet-Seymour Boys Track and Field Team for earning a 2nd place finish at the IHSA Class 2A State Track and Field Meet. This is an amazing accomplishment! Go Bulldogs!

We just had a joyous and fun celebration of Mrs. Carol Shallenberger's service to our schools as she retires. Pictured on the left, she and our Kindergarteners enjoyed cookies and milk together, after reading "If You Give A Principal A Cookie..." Thank you to Anna Webb, PTO Rep for Middletown Prairie, and our entire M-S PTO for planning this wonderful celebration for an awesome principal! So fitting that during Teacher Appreciation Week we receive the news that as a Silver Medal designee, the US News and World Report Ranking of Best High Schools puts Mahomet-Seymour High School at #32 in the state. This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you to our amazing staff for the invaluable work they do each day for our students and families! Please take the time to show your appreciation and thanks to a Bulldog staff member!

We offer our deepest thanks and appreciation to the Mahomet Seymour Education Foundation for the generous support shown to the school district this year. Most recently, we'd like to say thank you to the MSEF for the donation of $100,000 toward our Chromebooks initiative, and $32,000 over the next two years (total of $64,000) in support of the new Middletown Prairie Elementary playground. This amazing partnership couldn't happen without the long hours and very hard work on behalf of many volunteers, as well as the generosity in giving that occurs in our community. THANK YOU MAHOMET SEYMOUR EDUCATION FOUNDATION!
