Getting ready for Family Fun Night!

#LTProud 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Seal. Adrienne Seal is beginning her 20th year in education with this being her 14th in Mahomet. She's taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. When Adrienne isn't teaching she can be found at an event cheering for her family. Her husband teaches social studies and coaches varsity girls basketbal at MSHS, Clayton will be a freshman, and Claire will be in 8th grade. In her spare time, Adrienne enjoys being outside working in her flower gardens, traveling to new places, and reading children's' literature. Adrienne is looking forward to a great 2019-2020 school year!

#LTProud Hi Lincoln Trail Community! My name is Daniel Nock and I am currently a 4th grade teacher. The 2019-2020 school year will be my eighth year teaching and second in the Mahomet-Seymour School District. Before obtaining my current teaching position, I taught 6th grade at Northeast Elementary Magnet School in the Danville School District. I currently received my masters degree in Educational Leadership from Eastern Illinois University and look forward to learning a great deal this school year from our fantastic administrative team as I complete my principalship practicum. February will be an exciting month for me as I will marry my fiancé Kristie (with the help of my German Shepard Rizzo and Kristie's Lab Mix Chloe). In my free time you can also find me refereeing High School (or some college) Soccer games, as well as enjoying the occasional country concert or sporting event.

#LTProud 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Denault. My name is Lindsey Denault. I received my bachelor’s degree from Millikin University and my master’s degree as a Reading Specialist from Olivet Nazarene University. I started my teaching career in Cissna Park (also my hometown). There I taught 2nd grade for 10 years. This will be my 3rd year teaching 4th grade at Lincoln Trail. Aside from teaching, I love spending time with my husband, Neil and our daughter, Charlotte. Keeping us busy at home are our two dogs, Stella and Layla, our garden, and chickens. In my free time, I love to read, Crossfit, garden, and organize. I’m looking forward to building more great relationships this year at LT!

We hope to see everyone tonight for Family Fun Night from 5 - 7 p.m. We will begin our evening on the playground with a welcome from the principals.

Hi there, my name is Todd Metzger. I am a fourth grade teacher. This will be my 3rd year teaching. I spent my first year teaching in Fisher and this last year was my first year back at Lincoln Trail. I graduated from Mahomet-Seymour before attended the University of Illinois where I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education and met my wife, Nicholle, who is now an elementary teacher in Champaign. I enjoy reading, working out and playing basketball. I help coach the high school boy's basketball team during the winter. I am really looking forward to my second year at Lincoln Trail.

I am starting my 13th year at Lincoln Trail and my 18th year teaching. I've taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades and have spent the last 5 years as Lincoln Trail's librarian. I earned my teaching degree from the U of I, went north and earned a master's degree in teaching and leadership, before coming back to earn a master's degree in library and information sciences from the U of I. I love teaching and sharing great books with all my students. When I'm not at school, I enjoy sharing great books with my two sons, traveling with my husband, playing games, and being with friends and family. I'm looking forward to a great 2019-2020 school year!

She lives in Savoy with her husband and have twins that are twenty-one. Jake is going to be a Senior at ISU in Bloomington-Normal. Jordy will be a senior at Butler in Indianapolis. She loves visiting her kids, reading, playing games, going to movies, going out to eat, and walking. She also loves being a part of our Lincoln Trail family. Welcome back to those of you who are already part of our family. Welcome to those of you who are joining our family. I promise it is a great family to be a part of!

#LTProud Spotlight on Mrs. Schroeder! Hi LT Families! My name is Katelin Schroeder. This will be my sixth year teaching 4th grade at Lincoln Trail, and my eighth year teaching. I spent my first two years as a second grade teacher at PBL. Fun fact - It was my 4th grade teacher (Mr. Kreps) who inspired me to become a teacher… and now I get to teach 4th grade in that very same classroom!
My husband, Bob, and I both went to Mahomet-Seymour schools, and can’t wait to send our daughter, Lia, here too! After graduating from MSHS, I attended the University of Illinois, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, with a concentration in mathematics.
Bob, Lia, and I love to spend time on both of our family farms. Outside of school, we love to go boating, play outside, and travel. We spent part of this summer in the Bahamas!
I have loved every moment here at LT and I can’t wait for all the memories to come! We have a fun year ahead and I’m so excited to share it with the best kiddos, staff, and parents around!

Another #LTProud highlight! Hi everyone! My name is Mrs. Pflum. Many of you know me as Miss Flodstrom, but my name changed because I got married this summer!
I am a third grade teacher and this will be my 7th year at Lincoln Trail. I grew up in Champaign and attended the University of Illinois for undergrad and most recently earned my Master’s degree from there.
In my free time I love to read, go to the movies, and spend time with my family and my dog, Griffey. I am so excited to meet my new 3H family. Looking forward to another amazing year!
