Another great day in Health Education as students are trained on how to use the AED. So proud of how the students appreciate the importance of these lessons. Thanks to the Mahomet-Seymour Education Foundation for the grant that secured funds to purchase this trainer machine.
Very important lesson in health class that I hope my students never need to know. CPR has proven to be a very important part of our Health Education curriculum.
'Tis the season for M-SHS to give back! Student council collected $405 for the Gary Sinise Foundation for veterans. We collected 17 pints of blood at our recent blood drive (saving 51 lives!). And, 4th hr classes collected food & monetary donations for Mahomet Helping Hands.
Students in Health Education had the opportunity to view a donated deer heart. As we learned, there are many similarities to the human heart. Great opportunity to supplement our lessons on the circulatory system.
