Stephanie Merkle is a 2nd grade teacher at Middletown Prairie Elementary school. This is her 21st year of teaching. She taught 4th grade in Danville for 1 year, taught 1st and 2nd grade at Kenwood in Champaign for 15 years and this is her 5th year in Mahomet teaching 2nd grade. She is married to her husband, Chris, and they have 3 children. Chloe will be a Sophomore, Caralyn will be a 4th grader and Canaan will be a 3rd grader. Mr. and Mrs. Merkle share their home in Mahomet with a Boston Terrier named Max and a desert lizard named Fernando the Fire Breathing Dragon.
When she is not at school Mrs. Merkle loves to spend time outside with her family. They like to go biking, hiking and golfing. She also likes to bake and spend time with her friends.
