Tori Veldman is entering her first year as a speech-language pathologist at Middletown Prairie Elementary School and Mahomet-Seymour High School. Miss Veldman graduated from Mahomet-Seymour High School in 2014, so she is eager to return as part of the staff to help support the students. She attended Illinois State University in Normal, IL, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2017. In her semester before graduate school, Miss Veldman moved back to Mahomet and worked as a special education paraprofessional in the life skills program at Unity High School in Tolono, IL. She then went on to pursue her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is excited to work with a wide range of students and is passionate about helping students improve their communication skills and advocating for them to have a voice.

Miss Veldman loves to play and watch sports, especially to watch her brother play baseball at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing volleyball, and spending time by the pool in the summer. Miss Veldman is excited for the new school year and can’t wait to work with the amazing students and staff at Mahomet-Seymour!
