Mrs. McGill is on the second grade dream team at MPE. This year will be her tenth year teaching! She has been in second grade all but one year (shout out to 3rd grade at West Cypress Hills). Mrs. McGill was a Mahomet-Seymour graduate in 2005. Go Bulldogs!!
After earning her Bachelors Degree in Education at the University of Illinois, she met Mr. McGill and began her dream job teaching second grade at Sangamon. Four years later, they headed to Austin, Texas for her husband’s job. Texas brought many new things into their world —breakfast tacos, new friends, and a daughter named Grace.
Mr. McGill got his dream job coaching at University of Illinois as the Assistant Coach for the Women’s Swimming Program. They were excited to find a home in Mahomet. This is Mrs. McGill’s third year teaching back in Mahomet at MPE. Chipper joined their crew in 2018.
When she’s not teaching her second grade Sailors, Mrs. McGill is spending time with her family and friends. She loves baking, traveling, reading, and cheering on the Illini swim team!
