Lincoln Trail is proud to offer the ABC (Above and Beyond the Curriculum) program to develop and nurture the interests and strengths of our students. The ABC teacher collaborates with classroom teachers to provide for students with special strengths and talents in the classroom. Some students are invited to attend classes in the ABC room in order to meet with other students with similar strengths and interests. Those classes include problem solving, mathematics and writing.

Lincoln Trail has an ongoing identification plan. Students are identified using a variety of tools. Classroom teachers or special teachers may recommend students for this program. Teacher recommendation, standardized and normed assessment scores and writing samples may be considered in identifying students.
